Rock formations in the Magaliesberg

While looking for sites of relics from the South African war we came across a few of these rocks, they really intregued us, not knowing what they were we consulted Dr Sux Zietsman (retired geologist) and got the following reply ….”these rocks are shales from the Timeball Hill Formation of the Transvaal Supergroup. Die Slag van Donkerhoek

Saterdag, 24 September, het ons lede en gaste die geleentheid gehad om na Prof Fransjohan Pretorius te luister oor die slag van Donkerhoek. Dit was regtig interessant en ons hoop om binnekort 'n klomp inligting oor hierdie geskiedkundige gebeurtenis in ons omgewing op te laai.
