Cullinan Conservancy releases biological control on Pom-pom - A first for the NE Conservancies.

With the assistance of the Biological Control officer from Working for Water, Cullinan Conservancy released a thrips insect (Liothrips tractabilis) for the biological control of Pompom in selected sites within the Conservancy.

Both Pompom thrips nymphs and adults feed on the stems and leaf tissues at the apical shoot tips of the Pompom weed. This causes deformaties in the plant growth which reduces its height and biomass, and flower production.  The thrips has the great...

Pom Pom Control

Dear Members,

The Pom Pom’s are a bit late this year due to the late rain and the fire.

We have a limited supply of herbicide in stock for Pom Pom, Lantana and Bug weed, this is available to paid up members. Please contact the office if you require any herbicide, it is in powder form so bring a container with a lid when you come and collect it.
