At present there is a mining permit application for a diamond mine on portion 129 of the farm Elandshoek 337 JR. Please note that this is very close to the town area of Rayton as can be seen on the map below. 

If you are affected by this mine, you have to register as an interested and affected party (IAP) and raise your concerns. These concerns have to be addressed by the EMP (Environmental Management Plan) for the mine. The IAP form is available here.

So far we received and submitted 461 IAP forms, a new record.

What you can do:

The IAP process terminated on 5 January and we are now waiting for the response. However, if you want to you can still send a letter raising concerns about the mine. Contact information is in the letter below. Please keep record of your correspondence.
